Public Service Announcement

A powerful PSA could really influence people to do things or to think before doing things. I believe a PSA could really persuade someone to act and think differently. A PSA is a visual representation of what could happen and I think that really makes a difference in someones thinking. Our PSA is about an active lifestyle. We are hoping to encourage people to live a more active and healthy lifestyle. Our audience should care about the issue because a lot of people don't live healthy and active lifestyles now days and it has really affected people in a negative way.

The ‘┼îlelo Community Media empowers the students voice by airing every student entry on cable television and on the internet. The video competition is for students to learn the value and importance of speaking out on an issue that concerns our youth by using the creative and powerful medium of video. There are a few rules we are required to follow like; all entries must focus on an issue that affects the community, our state, or the world, footage cannot be duplicated, the duplication of footage may lead to disqualification, and since we were doing a PSA, the videos could not exceed 30 seconds.

                      Behind The Scenes

Our PSA changed and improved quite a bit, we took out and also added a few clips. We changed the starting clip to one that matches better with our message. We also took out clips that was not needed and had nothing to do with out PSA. We also got more clips of being active. The changes and improvements we made were worth it because they made our video better.  The best compliment we received was the one that said that we had good shots of people being active, we had a good voiceover and how our video has a good explanation on how to live an active lifestyle.
